Gunnison is located in the central Colorado Rockies. U.S. Highway 50, a major all-weather highway, connects Gunnison with Interstate 25 in Pueblo and Interstate 70 in Grand Junction. This connection with major highways makes Gunnison an easy destination from Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Denver. All paved highways in Gunnison are open and maintained year 'round.
Air Travel

Airport Shuttles Gunnison:Alpine Express provides ground transfers from the Gunnison Airport to all areas of the Gunnison valley. Bicycle Shipping and Assembly
Avoid the hassle and
risk of flying with your bike. The BTC has teamed up with High Country Shipping and Tune Up Ski & Bike for coordinated bike shipping and assembly/disassembly services.
Before the Ride
High Country Shipping
will ship your bike to Gunnison via Fed-Ex where the Tune Up Bike
Shop will unpack your bike, assemble it, and have it ready and
waiting for you at their shop when you arrive in Gunnison. A BTC
shuttle will run every 30 minutes from noon-9pm on Saturday
June 19 to and from Gunnison Middle School to the Tune Up. High Country Shipping will also be delivering bike boxes to the BTC's start for riders who wish to self-assemble.
After the Ride
High Country Shipping can ship your bike home after it has been disassembled at Tune Up. At the end of the BTC, drop your bicycle off at the Tune-Up, and take the BTC
shuttle back to Gunnison Middle School. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes from 10am-5pm on Saturday, June 26.
HCS will arrange for all shipping details, send shipping labels in advance, arrange for timely pick-up, monitor each shipment to insure its on-time arrival, and send e-mails both when bikes arrive in Gunnison and are shipped home.
